Tolkien Quote Not All Those Who Wander Are Lost Nerdy Doormat
Tolkien wrote "Not all those who wander are lost" about hobbits crossing Middle-earth on a righteous quest. He was not thinking about your brother-in-law, who has now missed your driveway three times and is currently reversing out of the neighbor's hydrangeas. Wander on, buddy. We put the quote on a mat so you'd stop pretending it's about you.
Pick your material: eco coir is the classic route — sustainable coconut fiber, feels great underfoot, best kept under a covered porch out of direct sun and rain — and it comes in 8 sizes, from a snug outdoor welcome mat for an apartment door up to a full double door spread. Want something tougher? Our all-weather fabric front mat with a recycled rubber non-slip backing door mat shrugs off rain, mud, and paw prints — hose it down, plunk it anywhere, no roof required. Either way, it's the fastest glow-up your entryway's ever gotten, and an even faster gift for the friend who already owns the extended editions.
We've been putting weird, well-read jokes on damn good doormats since 2009 — long before every big-box store started knocking off the concept, badly. This one's just smarter than the last three doormats you owned combined. Not sure which style fits your vibe? Let Tammy sniff out your match, or read How Do I Choose a Doormat? — no wandering required. Once it's on your porch, here's how to care for your doormat.
