Your porch is Khazad-dûm and every trick-or-treater, in-law, and Amazon driver is the Balrog. Gandalf's already planted there, staff down, robe billowing, ready to deliver the line every nerd has screamed at a sibling mid-argument: You. Shall. Not. Pass. Nobody's getting past this doormat without at least a little existential dread.
Get it in natural coir — 8 sizes, from apartment-door tiny to French-door grand — if your entryway's covered and out of direct sun and rain. Or go all-weather recycled rubber if your porch takes the full brunt of weather with no roof in sight; that one hoses off in seconds and shrugs off rain, shine, or a Mordor-style downpour. Either way it's the welcome outdoor doormat a fellow nerd will clock from the sidewalk and respect you for instantly. Great gift for the LOTR-obsessed friend, the D&D dungeon master, or, let's be honest, yourself.
Slide it under your feet and let the tourists sort themselves — friends will laugh, telemarketers will flinch, and either way something ancient and bearded has your back. Stuck between sizes? Ask Perogi, our chatbot assistant (a very good pug), or check out How Do I Choose a Doormat? before you commit.
Everyone is envious of it. I started keeping it inside to prevent it from being stolen. Thank you.
The "You Shall not Pass!" Gandalf quote from J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings series in doormat format was a match made in heaven. I love it! I'm forever a fan of Middle-Earth, and my new apartment desperately needed a fine doormat. This fits the bill, and I can proudly show off my nerdiness. Woot! It is heavy and of high quality. Definitely follow the instructions and shake it outside. Keep it under shelter, too. It dislikes the sun and rain. There's some shedding still, as is natural, but most of it I shook off out of the box. Well-made! I feel with great care, this will last a long time.
