Welcome to Damn Good Doormats!

DGD is an independent, woman run business. A longtime Baltimorean, painter & performer, I like to come up new ideas to keep myself going- designing clothes & hats, painting murals, touring in a band, teaching art classes, making pins, tutu's, sleepy weepys, performance art, painting- this is just one in a long line of fun things. Staying successfully self employed since 1990 has been quite the ride!

We bought our own home back in 2009 & went out to get doormats. The selection was horrible. Expensive, ugly and disappointing. My husband said I should make one for us, so I did! Here we are, 10 years later with over 20,000 doormats shipped Worldwide.

I also paint pet portraits, another thing I've done for years for myself & friends, but finally decided to make into an actual business.

THIN INDOOR 20"x32" x .25"

LARGE 24"x36"x.59"

DOUBLE WIDE 24"x60"x 1"

THIN mats are 1/4" thick, 20"x 32" only - on a woven coco materials with non skid backing intended for indoor use.

Every entrance mat is painted on 100% coconut fiber doormats with PVC backing. Mats have fade resistant paint, but direct exposure to the sun and or rain will cause it to fade and shorten it’s life. Like all cocomats, a sheltered entranceway is recommended, they do shed for the first month or so and then stabilize. Depending on placement and natural wear (foot traffic) fading will occur over time.

Here we are at our World Headquarters!

Thanks for stopping in!
